When 4K is worth it
On a large modern TV with a fast, stable connection, 4K is noticeably sharper. You want around 25 Mbps of headroom for it.
When Full HD is smarter
On a phone, a smaller TV, or a slower line, Full HD looks great and buffers far less. On mobile data it also saves a lot of gigabytes.
If you cannot tell the difference from your sofa, use the lower setting - it is smoother and uses less data for the same experience.
